Background Check

It is the policy of Oaknoll Retirement Residence to provide a safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors alike. Therefore, we require a background check on all regular volunteer applicants.

Agreement and Signature

I understand that appointment to a volunteer position is contingent upon the completion and review of background and reference checks. I authorize Oaknoll Retirement Residence to conduct a background check(s) on me now and for as long as I continue to be active with the organization. This may include a review of sex offender registries, elder abuse records, and criminal history records. I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon Oaknoll receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I also understand that I am required to disclose any previous convictions and/or pending charges, and that any omission or falsification of this information is grounds for termination as a volunteer. I authorize Oaknoll to contact my references and to obtain information regarding my work and volunteer history, education, or character. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Oaknoll Retirement Residence, its employees, residents, volunteers, or any other person or organization that may provide such information. I certify that all information provided on this application and during the interview process is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that as a volunteer, I must abide by Oaknoll’s rules and regulations.*
